Dr. Judy van Stralen, Pediatrician

Dr. van Stralen is a community-based consulting Pediatrician with a focused practice in ADHD and related neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders such as autism, anxiety, depression, and developmental coordination disorder. She completed her medical degree at McMaster University and pediatric residency training at Queen’s University. She is Assistant Professor at Queen’s University and Staff Pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Dr. van Stralen is the founder and medical director of the Center for Pediatric Excellence, a multi-disciplinary clinic focused on treating patients with mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. van Stralen’s vision was to bring clinicians treating ADHD, neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders under one roof to allow for collaboration in care and to improve access to quality diagnosis and treatment. She uses clinical expertise, patient values and the best research evidence in the decision-making process for individualized patient care.

A recognized international expert in pediatric ADHD, Dr. van Stralen is actively involved in clinical research as well as teaching medical students, physician assistant students and residents. Dr. van Stralen has also taken a leadership role in physician education as well as advocating for children’s health needs.
